# The Tutorial Article Template
As an Internet marketer or business owner, you probably do a lot of things that are not absolutely related to your occupation.
You have maybe taught yourself how to use a text editor, or an FTP program to put files online.
Even though you might not consider these tasks a part of what you would normally teach your readers, you have colleagues around the world, striving to use the exact same software that you do.
By writing a tutorial on these everyday tools, you help your audience move past some serious blocking stones.
This is how to use the Tutorial Article Template:
1: Find software, you use often within your niche, and which you think others will find useful as well.
2: Write a headline. It is a good idea to include the word “Tutorial” in the headline as well as the name of the software you are writing the tutorial about.
Examples:
“Tutorial – How to Set Up Your WordPress Blog From Scratch”
“MS Excel Tutorial An Introduction to the IF Statement”
“Basic SEO Tutorial – Utilizing SEO Pressor On Your Blog”
3: Exlain to your readers in the introduction, why you use this particular software, and how it can help them with their business.
4: Write a step-by-step guide to use the software. Don’t leave out steps that might be obvious to you. Be very specific. Don’t write: “Click on XYZ”. Write: “Click on the link XYZ” or “Click on the button at the top, labelled XYZ”.
5: Describe things in a chronological order. Instead of saying: “Go to ‘Save As’ in the menu File”, say: “Go to the menu ‘File’ and scroll down to ‘Save As'”.
These minor details will help your readers understand your tutorial.
6: Summon up your article in the conclusion, and lead into your resource box, if you are writing for article syndication, traffic or back links.
