The How-To Content Template

A lot of people want to know “how to” do certain things, so this is a very popular article form. This is how you use the How-To Content Template:

1: Come up with your topic.

2: Write an interesting headline, e.g. “How to Make Your Subscribers Open Your E-Mails Every Time”.

3: Write an introduction, telling your readers why they should read this article, and what they’ll gain by doing so.

4: Write a step-by-step plan of how to [your topic]. If you know of any road blocks or stumbling stones, your readers will be likely to encounter, write about that too. E.g. “Step 3: Use a hammer and a nail to frame the picture. Be very careful not to hit your thumb while hammering.”

5: Summon up your article, and lead into your resource box, if you’re writing for back links, traffic or syndication.
